Why SlamBall is the Next Up And Coming Sport.

Do my eyes behold me? As I watch wide-eyed while SlamBall Handler Jelani Janisse goes up for a dunk on a trampoline, I am awestruck. Wow, SlamBall is amazing. SlamBall is definitely the next up and coming sport. Three reasons why SlamBall is the next and up and coming sport is because of the tremendous rules, the ultimate league, and the magnificent tour. Of course, one must know the rules before they play this new game. It would be amazing to pick out a team and follow them as they battle through league play. The tour is great because of the players, TV exposure, and the publicity. A game like this is striking and it will soon become known all around the world.

Since many people don't know about SlamBall, they don't know the rules either. SlamBall is a very physical sport with a lot of equipment. The official SlamBall rules say, "You have to have elbow pads, kneepads, and various custom padded undergarments." That's a lot of stuff. Many people probablwonder what the court looks like. It's very interesting because the court has 8 trampolines, hardwood floor, and a glass wall around the court, the rules state. Because this game is so new, people might not know what they do on offense or defense. The creator of SlamBall, Mason Gordon commented on what the players do on offense and defense, " The offensive team is trying to score as many points as possible by putting the ball through the basket in a variety of ways that are scored differently. The defense is trying to stop them by using the fullest extent of the contact that is allowed during the game in order to knock the ball loose and force the action in the other direction in attempt to score." Obviously, you have to know the rules to play and if you go out on the court with no pads, it will not be fun.

After learning about the rules of this tremendous game, it's now time to find out about the league. The biggest league contains the roughest of the roughest, the toughest of the toughest, and the best of the best. Www.slamball.net reports that the league consists of eight teams featuring the Maulers, Mob, Hombres, Bouncers, Rumble, and Slashers. Last year the best team was the Slashers. They beat the Rumble 48-46 in the championship. I watched the highlight and I can tell that it was an amazing game. The players fly like Superman! I personally would have a blast to pick my favorite team and keep up with the standings. For me, one of the coolest things I've ever seen was to watch one of those players jump from one of the eight trampolines and just dunk over someone. It's a very beautiful sight. One of the coolest things about a sport is the league and this is one of the most interesting leagues in all of sports.

After exploring the foundations of the league, I will now explain about the tour. When I mean tour, I mean the players, the atmosphere, and TV deals. If there were no players, than there would be no SlamBall. Www.slamball.net reports that the All SlamBall Team was the following players: Jelani Janisse, (Handler) plays for the Rumble, Lamonica Garret, (Gunner), plays for the Mob, Stan Fletcher, (also Gunner), on the Maulers, and Adam Hooker, (Stopper), on the Slashers. The Rookie Of The Year was Myree Bowden and he played for the Hombres. Those were the four best players and the Rookie of the Year out of the whole league. Now that's an accomplishment. When asked who were the most successful athletes by journalist, Adam Swideski,  Mason Gordon answered, “Multi-sport athletes typically perform the best. Guys that played football and basketball were the best kind of two sport players, we even had a few gymnasts, but they weren't very good because they weren't physical.” One reason many people do not know about SlamBall is that they haven’t seen it on TV. When asked by journalist, David Friedman, why has SlamBall been on hiatus for several seasons, the commissioner of SlamBall, Pat Croce answered "The hiatus occurred because we had it on Spike TV those first two years, though it wasn't called Spike the first year; I think it was called TNN and they switched to Spike. We didn't want to be a made for TV sport. We want to be a traditional sport, a franchise sport similar to Arena Football or a second tier compared to the big four sports." The fans love it and the atmosphere is fantastic. Personally, I think a big network should show it because this would attract millions of viewers and it's an unusual sport. The tour is almost as big as the league itself because that's what brings in the fans, money, and publicity.

As Jelani Janisse comes down to the ground and celebrates his incredible dunk, I crave to learn even more about SlamBall. As I stated before, SlamBall is definitely the next and upcoming sport. The three main reasons are the rules, the league, and the tour. To participate in this glorious game, knowing the rules is a necessity. Picking a team to follow is really fun and entertaining as they battle it out in league play. The atmosphere is great while the players perform to the highest level and get publicity at the same time, also on TV. In conclusion, SlamBall is destined for greatness and in the future, people around the world will cherish this game to the fullest.
